A good example of how to use live-streaming

A great idea from Skyscanner in which they took viewers round the world in real-time, without leaving their seats. The idea used Twitter's live-streaming app, Periscope, placed in the hands of travel-bloggers around the world.

The content is real and authentic, something that is a must on these live platforms. The instantaneous nature of the platform and the fact it forces you into employing a low-production value means anything else is cold, and often cringeworthy. This is a platform for transparency.

If they were each streaming at the same time, a world-map website acting as a hub for all of the streams, would really give a sense of teleportation—just click on a place to see what’s going on there, right now. Now that’d be even better I reckon!
