Will Twitter's social live-streaming platform, Periscope, be allowing brands to advertise this year?
Well the short answer is: no.
But no one's going to stop them either. While the platform won't be launching an advertising solution like those of other, better-established social networks, CEO Kayvon Beykpour says he likes the fact that brands try to use Periscope in creative ways, like BMWs live car launch last year.
It is still early days in the world of live-streaming, but looking at the numbers, and with the magical teleportation feeling it can give, we think it's only going to get bigger—and definitely has its place, at brand events for example. Even Facebook are getting in on the act.
