Inside Facebook’s decision to blow up the Like button

It's official. Emojis are going truly global, as Facebook condenses the world's emotions into 5 Reactions.

Having observed Facebook's experiment with its 'Like' button with anticipation, Chief Product Officer Chris Cox has now confirmed that Reactions are set to go global, very soon.

Within weeks, Facebook users will be able to react to any post with 'angry', 'sad', 'wow', 'love' or 'haha' emotions, alongside the platform's iconic 'Like' button, creating a universally visual vocabulary.
