Facebook has boldly gone where no man has gone before

In honour of Star Trek’s 50th anniversary, Facebook released a new update in conjunction with the franchise for the day: Star Trek reactions. The usual ‘love’ reaction heart symbol was replaced by the Vulcan salute, Captain Kirk replaced ‘haha’, and Spock replaced ‘wow’. It’s a nice change to the repetitive sponsored emojis that other brands are doing and shows the kind of creativity that can evolve when brands work closely with a platform.
