Instagram debuts its latest move in Snapchat blitz

Instagram has this week debuted an events feature that curates user-generated videos, with an algorithm that has a not-so-coincidently Snapchat feel. Rolling out the Events video channel on its Explore page, it will be used to curate videos from major events like concerts and sports, and will be personalised for each user based on the photos they like and who they follow. It’s currently only available in the U.S., but keep your ear to the ground as it will be introduced to the rest of the world soon.
