Facebook’s daily user growth slows through Q4, while earnings continue to grow

Regardless of the question marks posed by ad hacking, Facebook outperformed Q4 expectations, despite the slowest daily growth figures the platform has ever experienced.

As TechCrunch reported, Facebook now has 1.4 billion daily users, up 2.18% compared to its 3.8% growth in Q3. That’s a sizeable slowdown, and the lowest quarter-over-quarter percentage daily user growth ever reported by the company.

However as average revenue per user climbed to $6.18, up 27% from a year ago, it is clear that despite the platform’s altruistic ambitions to dial down content pushed by publishers and media partners, growth and opportunity are still being driven by the value of it’s connected and active global user base.
