Twitter now lets users earmark tweets for future use

Increasingly looking to give its users a reason to keep coming back, Twitter has this launched Bookmarks, a platform functionality that allows for tweets to be saved and revisited.

Based on demand from those active on the platform, Twitter has improved the saving ability after testing late last year. Previous ‘Favoriting’ of tweets was publically shared, which caused problems for some high profile users; including Melania Trump who favourited a tweet that seemed to imply she hated her husband (oops). Now privately stored, users will have the confidence to save up and store content they want to come back to, without it being shared with other users.

The revised ability seemingly looks to give Twitters users a genuine motive for re-engagement, to combat declining active daily and weekly users – a trend of late the platform has looked to address.
